Alianzas Guatemala

About Us

quienesAs part of an innovative effort to address high-priority health and education issues in Guatemala, the U.S. Agency for International Development   (USAID)   awarded   RTI   International   (RTI)   a cooperative agreement to strengthen public-private partnerships focused on health and education. As part of this agreement, University Research Co. (URC) is our subcontractor managing the health portfolio.

RTI began implementing a predecessor alliances project in 2005, which was very successful in bringing together organizations from different sectors. The current Multi-sector Alliances Program, commonly known as USAID|Alianzas, aims to build public-private  partnerships for health and education service delivery that will extend the coverage and improve the quality of existing services while incorporating state-of-the-art and proven approaches for increasing social sector investments. USAID|Alianzas negotiates and manages alliances ensuring that resources for health and education activities reach beneficiaries at the community level.

USAID|Alianzas’ strategic approach draws on its unique experience and knowledge of the private and public sectors in Guatemala and Central America in addressing development challenges.
